Excited...

Ohooo, ma lähen paariks päevaks Haapsallu :P Ja ma olen nii põnevil! Värvispektri sinine on mul pooleli - natukene ainult teha. See pole ehe, vaid miski, millega istusin (jah, mina!) õmblusmasina taga. Aga väike jätk roosas teemas. Helmetrossile lükitud käekett. Nunnud helmed ja kõik roosad! Muide silverpointis on käsitsitehtud helmed väga soodsate hindadega ;)
Müüdud.

Yeiii, I'm going to Haapsalu for couple of days :P And I'm so excited! Project spectrum will be delayed - it's almost finished. It's not a piece of jewellery but something that I made with sewing machine (yes, I used a sewing machine!). But here is another pink. Gorgeous beads strung on a wire! I've got those lampworked beads with flowers as a great bargain on silverpoint ;)
Sold.

Jewellery Swap - Happy Me :)

Mina ja Lucy tegime väikese tagasihoidliku ehtevahetuse :P Eks see on see, kui jääd MSNis pikalt lobisema... Panime paika, et teeme kõrvarõngad, hõbedat ei kasuta ning inspiratsiooniks otsime teineteisele netist mõne pildi :D Mina sain Lucylt juba kõrvakad kätte, jehuu!!! Inspiratsioonipildiks valisin ma selle foto, no kas pole äratuntav sarnasus?!

Me and Lucy made a little jewellery swap :P Well, what else could happen if you forget yourself chatting on MSN... We decided that we'll make earrings, don't use silver and look for a photo from the net to use as an inspiration for each other :D I received the earrings from Lucy yesterday, jippiii!!! I choose this photo to inspire, isn't it recognisable?! Gorgeous fimo roses (I think I'll make an order from her), rhodonite (?) drops and FWP. And there was also one extra rose as a gift :P
Lucy gave me this photo for inspiration. So many beautiful colors! I took all my beads in the colors from the photo and poured them on my bed. Ofcourse, I couldn't put all of them in this pair of earrings... There are copper beads, seedbeads, MC bicone beads, swarovski flat back and jade beads.

Pink continues...

Üks järjekordne roosa :) Siin on mati pinnaga klaaspärlid ja kivike, mille sain bricolartist ning need lihvitud läbipaistvad-roosakad on silverpointist. Müüdud.

Another pink one :) Here I used glass pearls with matt surface from bricolart and those pinkish fire polished beads are from silverpoint. Sold.

Brooch series

Imbi wrote to me today that I could make a series of brooches that have roses, pearls and copper wire. And then I realized I've forgotten about that I do have a little "series" of four brooches. I showed you only one, because I think that these brooches are way to heavy and kind of didn't know what should I do about it... These brooches are for heavy and thick fabric but I'd like to wear them now :) You don't wear wool jackets or coats in summer time...
First one is in brown (topaz colored crystals, synthetic goldstone and beige fwp), second one has a red-black-pearl contrast (black glass beads and crystals, corals and fwp), third one with labradorites is the one I showed you previously and fourth is a bit greenish (jade, synthetic goldstone and olivine colored crystals). The reason for making so many so similar things is simple, I went outdoors to bead and could take only limited stash with me ;)

Pinkomania

Lõpuks tabas see mind taas. Mul hakkasid *roosa* sümptomid esinema mõned nädalad tagasi ning nüüd põen täies hoos. Kaks esimest keed on tehtud Atlantise stiilis... ainult et roosa :) Esimesel kaelakeel on roosa 12mm swarovski rivoli. Teisel on pisut rohkem swarovskeid... roosasid. Need keed on müüdud.

Finally it struck my again. I've got the *pink* symptoms since couple of weeks ago and now it's here. First two necklaces are made in the same style as Atlantis... only they are pink :) First necklace has a 12mm swarovski rivoli. Second one has more swarovskies... in pink ofcourse. Third one has a cute flower with pink petals, pink anthers and the center from (pink) swarovski. By the way, the second necklace has ball chain and regular chain and that ball chain is pink :P I found it at Tiimari yesterday, it was actually ment to hold glasses. All necklaces are sold.

Another Get Together

Projekti idee on iseenesest väga lihtne, kuid mulle isiklikult muutus see traadispiraalide keeramine ja mõõtmine üksluiseks... no 16 tükki tolliseid, 4 tükki 1,125tolliseid jne-jne...

Well, because we had a lot of fun last time, we decided to get together again. This time we picked the project from the Beadwork magazines book. There was a cuff-bracelet with memory wire and color wire, named Spacey Princess Cuff (cough). It seemed a great idea :) So once we et the date and time with janalill and Lucy through MSN and talked about the materials needed for this project. One had what the other one didn't have and so we tried to help each other out :)
Since the weather was absolutely fabulous we went to the same place as before (an area of tables and chairs next to the main entrance of Viru department store). We pour out what we took along and started to mix and match the wires, beads and stone chips. One component fell through the flooring and was lost... Sun was hot so we were forced to drink some coctails :P This cuff was is made of things I find hard to use. Colored wire, spacer bars and stone chips. The idea of this project was really easy, but it got kind of boring with the coiling and measuring... well 16 pcs of 1 inch and 4 pcs of 1,125 inch and so on... But in the end, it was a different project, something I'm not about to repeat. Colored wire and memory wire is not really my thing ;)

Another Rose

Veel üks roos. Väga sarnane kee selle üleeelmise postituse omaga. Sarnane roos, samasugune kandiline plaat. Pilt kaelas. Müüdud.

This is a similar necklace to the one I showed you couple of posts before. Similar rose and the same square stamped "filligree". In addition to some crystals there are lilac MC bicone beads, pink faceted cats eye beads and pale green 'new jade' serpentin beads. As in the first necklace I used here also a very fine ball chain and added some on the bottom of the square plate. All components are attached with wire. Picture of me wearing it. Sold.

Labradorite Brooch

Prossi mõõdud on 4x2cm.

I tried to use this rose in a broch. Here I used different labradorite beads, dyed freshwater pearls and couple of swarovski chatons. That rose is quite heavy and that means that the brooch is quite heavy too :) So it should be worn with heavier and thicker fabrics. This brooch measures 4x2cm.

Roses

Well, now I have a new favourite :) Once I ordered large, clunky and a bit weird bead caps. I used one in this bracelet. But I wasn't happy because it looked like one of those bells they hang on a cows neck... Recently I had an idea when I was looking japanese magazine Beads Bee vol.16. And the idea came when I looked at this page :) I took two of those bead caps and a pair of chain nose pliers and started to bend the petals to look more as a flower! You saw the first version on the last brooch ;) But now I wanted to take this idea a bit further and made a rose using three bead caps. You'll probably see more of those roses from now on, because I very often order thing by 100 pcs :) and I still got lots of those bead caps...
Sold.

More pictures from the competition

I janalill "Loojangu puudutus"
II mdmB "Atlantis"
III Diina "Kaldale uhutud"
There were 46 entries to the Jewellery Competition. The topic was the Fairytale of the Sea (I'm not going to translate the titles of every piece). Many different techniques were used! I'd like to bring out some of my favourites :) So many of them...
My favourites from strung jewellery were
Dragonflys "Meri" and Lincas "Nagu merelaine" (that had wirework too). I really liked embroidered pieces like Mareli "Mere vahune laine" and Annely2 "Paradiisirand". There was also beadweaving, my favourite was Psiho-de-Lica "Merineitsi pisarad". From crocheted jewellery I liked Minnis "Päikseline päev rannas" and "Laintevahus" from Helikene. Most of the jewellery was made from wire, I liked "Näkikee" from Krets (I really would like to know how those greenish motifs are made!), Lucys "Võlukompass" (I would like to meet this one in person), Annahelenas "Pärlilaguun", "Merineitsi unenägu" from Katjakene, "Unustus" from Lotos and ofcourse the first place winner "Loojangu puudutus" from janalill (I would like to see the author wearing it ;) ). There were also so many great and fresh ideas like "Ivassi" from kulla385 (so cool wirework!), "Kuldkalake" from Vöödiku (it's lace!), smooth color combination from Diina "Kaldale uhutud" (this won the third place!), cool contrasts from Jõhvikas/Terje "Punased kalad merelainetes" (btw it won special prize in polymerclay!) and fun lighthouse from Meisterdaja mustikas "Majakas keset laineid". The three pictures above are the first three prizes.

Atlantis and the Jewellery Competition

Some talk about the necklace Atlantis and the jewellery competition on isetegija.net. Kulla385 was not the only one who mixed up the date :) So did I - I made my necklace a month earlier :D I used swarovski stones (colors: erinite (baquette), white opal (navettes), pacific opal (ovals and little 4mm flatback), freshwaterpearls (2mm-8mm), copper beads (2mm-4mm), seedbeads, copper plated and copper wire. I made this necklace in s sunny day in my garden. I tried to approach this project properly and make a scheme before I started (I changed things while working on actual necklace) :) The foto I sent was taken very close. So I tried to make a photo of myself wearing it, so you could see, it's not too big or exaggerated and perhaps all you need is the right clothing to make it a nice accessorie. I won the second place, yeiii!!!

I'm going to comment some more about the competition, but I'll make a special post on that ;)

Pretty little things

Ma sain need lilled Beadsupplies'ist. Kohutavalt armsad väikesed asjad! Ostsin korraga 4 tükki ja imetlesin päris kaua. Täna tegin neist kaks paari kõrvarõngaid. Idee on tegelikult lihtne :) Esimesel kõrvarõngapaaril on lille sees 4mm granaat helmes ning all ripub lihvitud kristall. Teisel on lille südamikuks rodoniidist 4mm helmes ning all ripub labradoriidist ovaalne helmes. Valisin kõige läikivamad labradoriidid oma niidilt ;)
Müüdud.

I've got these flowers from Beadsupplies. Horribly pretty little things! I bought 4 pcs and admired them a long time. Today I made two pairs of earrings. The idea is quite simple :) First pair has a 4mm garnet beads in the center of the flowers and dangling faceted cristals. Second pair of earring has 4mm rhodonite beads and ovalshaped labradorite beads. I picked the most glowing labradorites from my string ;)
Sold.

One Year

Yesterday was the birthday of my blog. I'd like to thank you all who have visited this blog and found something worthy - inspiration, possibility to have some jewellery, or just to comment. I've got lots of support from you. This blog is mainly for myself. Mostly to help me look back to what I've done and hopefully get a better and more objective view through the screen, creating a distance. Posting continuously is a sort of need for self-discipline too :) Reading old posts helps me to go back in time and sort out when this or that happened, because time as a concept has always been very subjective for me (5 minutes can last for 3 hours and on the contrary). And memory is also selective thing :) I saved some colorful info on the blog visits.

Lazy Days -> image heavy post

Olen pildistamiste ja blogimisega natuke jänni jäänud. Lükkan kõik viimased esitamata tööd ühte postitusse :)
*Roosa Kee* mulle meeldivad nn kassisilmade läige (fiiberklaas?).
*Must Kee* no kui navette-tüüpi kivi sobib, järsku sobib tilgakujuline ka... Olen ammu juba tahtnud teha üleni musta ehet kivikestega ning vaskset tooni komponentidega. Alguses tahtsin teha nööpkõrvarõngaid, kuid hetkel ei suuda kahte samasugust asja teha.
*Käekee "Even the Odds"* see on nüüd eilse päeva produkt.

I've been lazy photographing and presenting my new work. So I'll put them all in a single post :)
*Pink Necklace* I really like the reflection of those cat eyes (fiberglas?). But often I find the colors to be too pale or too strong and hmmm, how to put it... just not my taste. Perhaps this is just preconceived, but I think I'll try to draw my attention to them more often. This pink necklace has a cat eye navette stone and 4mm faceted beads, some svarowskies and MC beads too. I'm very pleased with the outcome :)
*Black Necklace* If navette stone fits, whynot to try pearshaped stone too... I've thought a long time about making a piece of jewellery in all black stones with coppertone components. First I wanted to make a button earrings, but I'm not able to make a pair of identical things at this time.
*Bracelet "Even the Odds"* is an outcome of yesterdays get together. Not identical with the one from the magazine but I really didn't like the clasp there. Actually it is the first odd-count peyote I've made. Untill yesterday I made an even-count and added and extra row. It's a nice technique.
*Shawl Pin* is better name than a brooch for this one. It's hammered from thick copper wire. I've got the idea from
here.
*Sewed brooches* I first made the dangle from fake pearl and bead caps and wanted it to stay facing front (if I'd attached it to a necklace or a pair of earrings it would face down). I sewed a cream-colored cloth crinkled on a felt and added a leave (from a candle decoration), lace and ribbon. I'm happy with the first one, but not so sure about the second one though...
