Üle-eelmisel nädalal sain meili Joannalt www.i-beads.com'ist Crystal Glam 2013 ehtekonkursi kohta.
I received Joanna email from www.i-beads.com about Crystal Glam 2013 jewellery competition. Thank you so much for I'm afraid I would have missed it! Seems like there's not a fixed theme (apart from the word Glam) like last times. Designers are invited to create a glamorous piece of jewellery or fashion accessory made with products from the SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS Fancy Stone assortment, i-beads settings and Beadalon wire. I have only Nymo from Beadalon, so I decided to try out their colored wire. I usually use a brass wire covered with copper that is made to look antique. Because it's difficult to get and not to mention the high price I thought it would be nice to find an alternative.
On Saturday I received my new wires and started to think about the design. I reviewed my collection of Swarovski rhinestones and found triangle cut to be the most "fancy" to me :) Triangle shaped stones are definitely a challenge because it is difficult for me to use them compared to round or square shaped ones. Maybe baguette shaped stones can help me on this... And there's no way I can do without small round stones. When I took photos I liked combination of Ruby and Siam. But now I've thought about Crystal and Turquoise too. Well see.
