Faux Turquoise Set

Komplekt kaelakee ja kõrvarõngad. Klaasist "türkiisi", klaaspärlite ja helmestega. Palju pusimist ja mässamist. Ahjaa, mulle tuli nüüd meelde, miks mul ei meeldi teha selliseid keerulisemaid kõrvarõngaid - neid peegelpildina sättida on üks paras peavalu...

Set of necklace and earrings. Glass "turquoise", glass beads and rhinestones. A lot of work and recalculation. And the whole process reminded me the reason why I didn't like to make this kind of earrings - to get them as in mirror image takes alot of planning...

This Morning...

I finished these necklaces this morning, that is I gave the last finishing touches because some parts were made earlier. Dark red glass beads, rhinestones from Western Germany and Czechoslovakia, imitation lapiz and opal and ofcourse my favourite - sabrina glass.

White Cuff

Valge käevõru. Selle käevõru raam oli valmis juba ammu, ent see kaunistusplaadike andis ennast kaua oodata. Tšehhi klaashelmed ja Tšehhoslovakkia klaasist ehtekivid.

White cuff. The cuff itself was finished long time ago but the adorned plate in the center was made recently. Czech glass beads and Czechoslovakian glass rhinestones.

Swarovski Jade

Swarovski has created so many beautiful colors and there are always new ones coming. I really like to use Cyclamen Opal one day. I wish there was a place on the net I could see all the colors swarovski ever made!
For example I had no idea of a color named Jade. It's an interesting hue of green that has opaque and transparent crystal glass. It really looks like a semiprecious stone. I used 6mm Jade beads and 13mm cabochon with 29pp size Crystal rhinestones.

Competition Entry

Sain lõpuks hakkama konkursitööga, võttis aega mis võttis. Kõige raskem oli nime välja mõtlemine, sest konkursitööl peab olema nimi. Tegu on Perles & Co mereteemalise konkursiga. Rohkem informatsiooni siit.

I finally finished a necklace for competition, it took quite some time. The most difficult part was coming up with the name because all competition pieces must have it. It's Perles & Co "Oceans Treasures" competition. You can see more information here.
I'm positively surprised about the swarovski pearls. The pearly coating is really thick and therefore they are (despite the wire tearing, sharp metal edges and all the plier work) quite durable. I used to think that swarovski pearls are too expensive but now I think I should reconsider. I haven't been able to ruin a single pearl and it sure means a lot!

Waiting for snow

Sellel Lääne Saksamaal valmistatud klaaskivide pakil on peale löödud 5. september 1956. See on ümber pakitud Wepra Company poolt, paistab, et kunagi oli New Yorgi telefoni numbrid viiekohalised :)

White brooch with white cabochons and beads. It's really cool when I receive a vintage cabochon package with a stamp on it. I've read that they used to stamp a date on the package when it reached the jewelry company storage. It means that cabochons/rhinestones may be older than the date. On this package with Western Germany glass cabochons there is a date 5. September 1956. It is repackaged by importer Wepra Company, it looks like there were five digit telephone numbers in New York once :)

COTM: Black November

Käimas on teine Värviliste kuude ring, kus igal kuul panen siia blogisse varem valminud ehetest kokku mosaiigi. Sest must iseloomustab seda kuud kõige rohkem minu jaoks. Ilmad lähevad pimedamaks ja pimedamaks...

This is the second round of Color of the month project where I make a selection of previously made jewelry. This november I chose black, again. Because I think that black goes perfectly with november. Days go darker and darker...
