Emerald and Moonstone

Igaljuhul on see nüüd valmis. Ehtekivid on ilma tagumise fooliumita.

Actually are these rhinestones from glass. The color of the round one is emerald and these cream navettes are from moonstone glass. I've been really busy lately with everything else but beading. And it seams that all the beading ideas that I have doing something else were ment to fade away. I did try to draw some of them in the evenings but I'm afraid that nothing more comes from it. Every day I felt homesick and wanted to be with my rhinestones and wire, but in the evenings I was so tired I couldn't concentrate at all. I found the new issue of Bead&Button at post yesterday but couldn't even look it through. So I read it while I was having a brakfast today :) I got some inspiration and ideas but since there were a lot of them in my head already, I'm a bit confused where to start.
I made this necklace, I don't know when... Either way it's finished now. The rhinestones are unfoiled. It's interesting that the emerald one is still shining even without foiling, perhaps the gold-colored setting has some part in it. Emerald and gold together are quite boastful and when I started with this necklace I was hesitating if it's a piece of jewellery one can wear everyday. But the pendant is quite small and it will not dominate much while
wearing.

Flower Bouquet

Daisy-spacerid koos 2mm kassisilmadega peaks kujutama lilli.
See kee on müüdud.

When I first saw these white-green navettes I absolutely had to have them! This rhinestone is domed at the top and has a gold folio at the bottom. It's from the 1940's! Older than me and waited really long time to become a part of a piece of jewellery (it was put away all this time). The wire wrapped part should imitate the flower bouquet :) Can you see it? Little daisy-spacers with tiny 2mm cat eye beads should be like flowers. I really enjoyed making this necklace :) It seemed easy and it felt like it didn't took any time at all. There are also some crystal glass beads with white surface coating. When I first saw them I didn't like them at all. It seemed really odd to put this kind of unattractive coating on a glass bead. But now I really like them. Especially when the color has worn off from the edges and the bead looks as if it was a tortoise shell :P
This necklace is sold.

Blue Chalcedony Necklace

I just made a necklace, it feels good :) I made it from 925 silver, the cabochon is from chalcedony, beads are from MOP, chalcedony, natural crystal and silver. It is 54,5cm in lenght, the pendant is 3,3cm at the widest point and 5cm long (I measured with the dangles at the bottom). I thought about this necklace for weeks, I often took it out and wondered what I could do with it :) The problem was how to attach the setting to the wirewrapped frame because it didn't have any holes (wasn't sew-on). I had one idea but I didn't know if it would work. And this time I draw a plan can you imagine that! I have always thought that previous planning and drawing is cool and very professional like. It happens really rarely to me, though. But this necklace made me really happy :) Isn't it funny? :)

Necklace

Oh, kui palju poolikuid töid on kogunenud. Lihtsalt masendav. Tihtilugu veedan aega raamatute taga ning neti kaudu uute ehtetarvikute ostmisega, valmis aga saan midagi väga harva... Leidsin ühe kaelakee, mille tegin valmis jaanuari alguses.

There are so many unfinished projects. It's absolutely depressing. I often spend my spare time reading and buying jewelry components through the net, but I rarely finish anything... I found a necklace from the beginning of the January. And I think I made the pendant in the end of the last year and then it waited till I finished the whole necklace. I might have not liked somthing about it but what, I cannot remember and I can't find it now either. So I made a lot of pictures from it and only two reached near the average quality, if even that.
This necklace is made of silverplated components, the faceted stone is pacific opal swarovski navette, beads are mother of pearl and swarovski.
I've been thinking, that now when the Color Spectrum is over I could restart the Color of the Month again, choosing a color for every month and making a image heavy posts of jewellery I made in that color. I think I have enough photos but the the quality of them makes me unsure. There is still some time til this month ends so there time for me to think about it.

Tanzanite Set

Nende kunstkristallidega on mõnus mängida.

I love playing with these crystals. Sometimes I try to add some colors to those I already have and experiment. Monochromatic (tanzanite) set of a necklace and a pair of earrings. Silverplated wire and components. Something old :) and not so modest. If I have a chance I'll make new pictures, because the photos do not make justice to these pieces, they hardly show from the background.
Sold.

Little and sweet

Keskel ilutseb 6mm swarovski. Motiiv on ise tilluke, aga olen ise väga rahul :) Kõik helmed klappisid omavahel, töö on puhas ja trimmis :D Ülejäänud kee on tagasihoidlik.
PS Sallist on valmis 2/3.

Little off-loom beading with beads. In the motif there are 2mm pink cats eye beads, 3mm fire polished beads in different colors and some seedbeads. In the center 6mm swarovski chaton. This motif is really little but I'm so pleased with the outcome :) Every bead fits perfectly with others, work is clean and solid :D Rest of the necklace is rather modest.
PS The scarf is almost done, 2/3.

Natural Amethyst and Gold filled settings

Siin on minu kingitus oma emale jõuludeks. Kivideks on 8mm suurused käsitsi lihvitud looduslik ametüst. Kividele õigeid pesasid leida oli päris raske. Mul olid sterling hõbedast ühed olemas (ups, polegi blogis selliseid esitlenud). Kuid need sobisid rohkem swarovski kividele, kuna katsid kivide taga oleva fooliumi ära. Nendele ametüstidele aga jäid need liiga robustseteks. Lõpuks leidsin kullaga täidetud Snap Tite kuue haruga kõrvarõnga pesad vastava suurusega kividele. Nende pesade idee on lihtne (kuus haru hoiavad kivi paigal), kuid ootamatult tekkis probleem ühe kiviga.

This is my Christmas gift for my mother. These are 8mm natural amethyst that are cut by hand. It was difficult to find suitable settings. I have some earring settings from sterling silver (oops, I somehow haven't presented none of those here...). These sterling silver settings were perfect for swarovski stones because they covered the back side of the stone so you can't see the foiling. But for amethysts these were too plain. Finally I found a pair of Snap Tite settings with six prongs. The idea of those is simple (six prongs hold the stone), but unexpectedly Igot into trouble with setting one stone. Since these stones are hand cut, they are bit different in shape and size and the edge of the stone was too thick at one side so the prong couldn'd reach to grab the stone. I was afraid I'll ruin it with my pliers, but fortunately everything ended well. The color of the stones is more intense and more purple (red) than on the pictures.
