Käisin täna Tartus, jõudsin kohale ennelõunat. Aitasin Terjel üles panna tema esimest näitust Ehe Rahvuslik. Panin kangaid vitriinidesse, mässasin mannekeenidega, sättisin ehted, juurde sildid ning numbrid, et külastajad saaksid anda tagasisidet ehete kohta. Huvitav oli :) Kokku on näitusel 30 ehet või ehte komplekti, nendest 5 (kokku 9 eset) on disainitud ja kokku pandud minu poolt Terje tehtud polümeersavist lisanditega. Pean tunnistama, et olen suhteliselt polümeersavi-kauge inimene (pole ühtegi asja sellest materjalist teinud) ning rahvuslik teema on minu puhul samuti nõrk. Ma usun, et paljud ideed olid liiga naiivsed ja vbl ebareaalsed :) Ei ole mul kahjuks väljapaistvat pildimaterjali, esimesi ehteid ei jõudnud isegi pildistada, asjaga oli kiire (seepärast panen siia kolm visandilehte). Selle esimese, pimeda ja välguga tehtud pildi tegin selleks, et Terjele selgitada, millist puusaketti mõtlesin (see on roosa mündikee-komplektist), seepärast ka selline pildikvaliteet. Kaks ehet jõudsin pildistada ikka nii nagu mul kombeks. See kindakett on minu lemmik :) Ideena oleks kett olnud toekam ja messingu-karva ning kindad pisut väiksemad, aga need kuljused, mis Terje Rootsist tõi, olid just nii armsad kui tahtsin. I went to Tartu today, I got there before the midday. I helped Terje to put up her very first exhibition. This exhibition theme is how to use Estonian traditional motifs with polymer clay and create a whole new and fresh look one could wear every day. I put fabrics into the display cases, dressed and accessorized mannequins, placed the jewellery, added notes and numbers so people could give feedback. It was interesting :) There are 30 jewellery pieces or sets on display and 5 of them (9 pieces together) are designed and made by me with polymer findings by Terje. I'm afraid I'm quite far from the whole polymer clay business (I haven't done a single thing from it) and traditional culture isn't really my cup of tea. I can only guess that my ideas could be really naive and unreal :) I'm afraid I don't have much pictures to show you from the finished pieces, I gave most of them away before I could photograph them, I was in a hurry (that's why I'll show you my sketches). The first dark picture was made to explain Terje what is a jean-chain (it's a one part of 3-item set with pink coins and black findings). I had a chance to make decent photos from two pieces. The mitten bracelet with bells is my personal favourite. I had imagined it with more solid antiqued brass chain and with a bit smaller mittens, but those bells Terje got from Sweden are just adorable!
