Turquoise pipes

Mul oli kaks niiditäit türkiispulgakesi Luxoniast. Need pulgakesed olid erineva jämeduse, pikkuse, värvitooni ja maatriksitega. Siia kõrvarõngastesse sattus üks pulk ühest niidist ja teine pulk teisest niidist :) Türkiis on jälle üks tänuväärne kivi, mis sobib vasksetooniga. Tegelikkuses päris lihtsad, kas pole? Natuke daisy-spacereid ja vaskhelmeid ja valmis!

I had two strings of turquoise from Luxonia. These pipe-shaped beads were all in different thickness, size, color tone and matrix. To this pair of earrings one bead came from one string and second one from the other string :) Turquoise is one of these stones that fit well with copper color. This pair is quite simple, isn't it? Some daisy spacers and round copper beads and finished!

See on nii tobe, aga tõsi. Mõnikord mõjub ehte kokku panemine nagu alkoholijoove ja pärast on... nagu pohmakas... Ideid on, helmeid on, tahtmist on ka, aga pole jõudu midagi teha. Hing on tühi ja kõle ning helmeste nägemine tekitab iivelduse... Ja see, et helmed ja poolikud tööd igal pool vedelevad, ei aita kohe mitte üks põrm...
Et pakkuda leevendust ideedele, mis mind pommitavad (ka unes) ning kangele tahtmisele midagi teha (samas mitte liialt väsitada), valmistasin miskit lihtsat. Sõbrapäeva südamed... ei teagi kohe, mis nendega teha. Vbl panen müüki ja kui enne valentinipäeva uut omanikku ei leia, kingin ise esimestele vastutulijatele laiali.
Jämedast ja peememast lakitud vasktraadist ning seemnehelmeste segust. Lisasin lindist lipsu.

This is so silly, but true. Sometimes making jewellery has the effect like drinking alcohol and it also has like... hangover as aftereffect too... I've got loads of ideas, beads and I really-really like to bead, but I don't have any strenght. Soul is empty and bleak and seeing beads makes me nauseous... and the fact that all the beads and unfinished projects lie around does not really help at all...
To have some relief to the ideas that will not leave me be (not even when I sleep) and to the urge to bead I made something simple that didn't need much time and effort. Valentine Days hearts... don't know what to do with them. Maybe I'll put them on DaWanda and if they wont sell before the Valentines Day, I'll give them away as gifts.
Made them from two different coated copperwire and red seedbead mix. And added a bow from ribbon.

White for January

Valge jaanuarikuuks. See värv langes nüüd kokku Spektri projekti värviga, aga mõtlesin, et võibolla pole sellest miskit :) Tuhlates oma albumis nägin, et on päris palju ehteid valgetest või läbipaistvatest ehetest. Mis puutub valgete asjade pildistamisse, siis siin on selge näide, et tumedam taust õigustab ennast igati. Vähemalt minu pildistamise oskuse juures.
Kui soovid näha kõiki seniseid värve, siis vajuta siia.

This color choice is the same as the one from the Spectrum Project but I thought that perhaps it's not such a big deal :) When looking through the album I discovered quite many pieces of jewellery with white or cristal beads. And when looking at the photographs it seems that darker background is in it's right place. At least when I'm taking the pictures.

Secret Garden

Salaaed. Siin üks ehe, mille valmimist ma jälgisin suurima huviga :) Ei mingit planeerimist - ei ülesehituse ega värvi koha pealt. Alguse sai hoopis ühest jämedast traadijupist, mille sain ükskord Külli (alias Karnaaks)käest, kui me keset tööpäeva ühes Tallinna kohvikus tegime kahekesi õpitoa :P

See traat on päris jäme (2mm?). Kuna see oli lakitud, siis tahtsin liivapaberiga seda maha hõõruda. Õudsalt vaevarikas oli... Ühesõnaga väikese osa sain puhtaks ja inspireerituna julidadesign'i loomingust (täpsemalt tema käeketist) keerasin selle traadi spiraali. Üritasin seda ka haamerdada, aga palju ei julgenud (kortermajas kajab selline asi eriti jubedalt). Mõtlesin, et paneks mõned helmed, mida varem kasutanud pole (see kurb fakt, mis helmevarude inventuuriga tõeks sai - mul on mitmeid helmeid, mida pole veel kordagi kasutanud) - noppisin rohelised 4mm MC bicone helmed ning rattakesed sahtlist välja ning läkski lahti. Siis olin juba nagu kõrvalseisja :)

Siidised vanaroosad "padjakesed" on pärit ühest ema lammutatud keest, muidu kõik helmed on klaasist, välja arvatud need kahvaturoosad plastik pärlid. 4mm rohelised MC helmed ikka sädelevad tohutult :P Kee on pikem, kui tavaliselt teen, oma 56cm, pluss veel pikenduskett.

Nüüd istun siin, imetlen ja muudkui õhkan... ja ei suuda uskuda, et mina selle valmis tegin (ma olen ikka napakas küll).

This is a necklace that I watched with interest as it was assembeled :) No planning whatsoever - not with construction nor color combo. It all started with thick piece of wire I got from Külli (alias Karnaaks)once we made a two-person workshop in a cafe in the middle of a workingday :P

The wire is really thick (2mm?). Since it was colored I tried to sand off the finishing. It was really difficult... Anyway I got little lenght clean and inspired by julidadesign (specificly from her bracelet) I made a spiral out of it. I tried to hammer it a bit (living in a flat hammering sounds extremely terrible). As I'm in the middle of the bead inventory I discovered I have many beads I haven't used at all. So I thought I should start to pay more attention to them and picked up green 4mm bicone MC beads and faceted rondelles. And off it went. It seemed to me I was more of a spectator than the person who controls the process :)

Those silky old rose "pillows" are from my moms old necklace. All beads are from glass except those pale pink plastic pearls. 4mm MC beads sparkle alot :P This necklace is longer than I usually make - 56cm plus the extender chain.

So now I sit here, wonder and sigh... and can't believe I'm the person who made this (I'm such a loony).

For the people in love

Midagi armunutele. Mõeldes valentini päevale, tahtsin minagi midagi südamekujulist nikerdada ;) Kui olin traadist kuju valmis saanud ning ripatsid külge riputanud, arvasin, et sellest tuleks kena kaelakee ripats. Nii lisasin kolm rida valgeid ja piimjaid helmeid nailonkattega terastrossile ning valmis ta oligi! Valge klaas ning antiikse välimusega vask tekitavad huvitava kontrasti. Valge on ju süütuse ja puhtuse värv, samas kui antiikne vask esindab vana-aja väärikust ja tarkust.
Ahjaa, väiksed tagasihoidlikud kõrvarõngad tegin ka lihvitud valgetest helmestest. Komplekt on müüdud.

Thinking of the Valentine's day I instantly wanted to try to make a heart shape from wire ;) Once different dangles added I thought it would make a lovely pendant for a necklace. So I attached three rows of white and milky white glass beads on a nailoncoated steel wire. White glass and antiqued coppercoated wire and components make an intriguing contrast. White is the color of innocence and purity while the copper has the essence of old-times wisdom and elegance.
And I also made a modest pair of earrings with faceted whte rondelles. THis set is sold.
