Spiral Tubular Ndebele

Sain oma õelt sünnipäeva puhul Bead&Button'i aastatellimuse. Nüüd eile sain ma kätte juba teise numbri. Osad ütlevad, et neile ei meeldi seal olev rohke reklaam, kuid mina leian selle olevat pigem inspiratsiooni allikas kui segav asjaolu :) Ma olen üks lootusetu ndebele fänn. Olen teinud erinevates tehnikates helmenööre/-torusid (ka heegeldanud), kuid miski ei saa ndebele vastu. Spiraalne ndebele uues numbris oli minu jaoks uus ning pani südame kiiremini põksuma. Ma veel öösel enne magamaminekut proovisin ära, muidu poleks uni tulnud.

Siin tagasihoidlik käekett läbipaistvate ümmarguste 11/0 TOHO seemnehelmestega ndebele, mille sees on helesinine atlass-nöör. Ühe otsa kaunistasin erinevate pressitud Tšehhi klaashelmestega ning T-kinnise ühendasin mässitud aasadega.

Veel tahtsin lisada, et mul on juba pikemat aega probleeme blogiga. Kord ei saa sisse logitud, kord saan, aga lingid ja tekstid on segamini üksteise peal või puuduvad üldse. Ka selle postituse kirjutamisel on Dashboard täielik segadus. Kui mu postitustes on mingeid jamasid sees, siis palun kannatust, loodan, et see probleem ei kesta väga kaua.

I had a Bead&Button year subscription as a birthday present from my sister. Yesterday I received a second issue. Some people find all the advertisement disturbing, I see it as more as a source of inspiration :) I'm absolutely a fan of ndebele/herringbone stitch. I've done beaded tubes in different off-loom tehcniques (even crocheted) but nothing gets even close to ndebele. Spiral tubular ndebele in the new issue was something new to me and it sure made my heart jump from joy. I had to try it before I went to bed yesterday night because I probably would have had some trouble falling sleep.

Here is a modest bracelet from transparent blue round 11/0 TOHO seedbeads, there's a light blue rat tail lace inside. I embellished one end with different Chezh pressed beads and attached T-toggle with wire wrapped loops.

I wanted to let you know that I've had some trouble with my blog. Sometimes I can't log in and if I can then dashboard is an absolute mess and links and texts are all over the place or aren't there at all. I hope this post will appear to you ok. If it doesn't please be understanding for I really hope everything will be back to normal in time soon.

Chrysocolla Pansy

Krüsokolla Võõrasema. Krüsokolla on mu kivikarbis olnud juba mõne aja. Nüüd jõudis kätte tema aeg ning tema abiga valmis üks ripatsiga kaelakee. Loomulikult sobib krüsokolla kokku vasega - tema geneeski on ju vasemaardlate oksüdatsioon ;) Need helmed pole väga peened - pigem sellised muuhklikud ja karedad, sellised maalähedased.

Ripats üritab järgi aimata võõrasema kujutist. Kui seda on väga raske märgata, siis pole hullu :) Nagu juba tavaks saanud, olen ka siin vastandanud uue ja läikiva ning tuhmi ja antiikse välimusega vaskseid komponente.

Siin on krüsokollat kolmes suuruses: 4mm, 6mm ja 8mm. Lisaks erinevaid vaskseid vidinaid ning ketti. Krüsokollal on kohati hüpnotiseeriv toime - neilt leiab erinevaid mustrilahendusi, mõni meenutab isegi mallahiiti (tegelikult võibki seal seda olla kuna mõlemad kivid tekivad vasemaardlate osküdeerimisel). Mis tuletabki meelde, et mul mõned malahhiithelmed ootamas oma aega :D

I have had chrysocolla beads in my bead box for a month. Now its time has come and with its help I managed to make a necklace with a pendant. Ofcourse chrysocolla goes well with copper - it forms in the oxidation zones of copper ore bodies ;) These beads are not fancy - they're bumpy and rough, word earthly sounds right.

Pendant tries to picture a pansy but it's OK if you can't see it :) As it's become a custom I put the new and shiny copper into opposition to faded and antique-looking copper.

Here I have three sizes of chrysocolla: 4mm, 6mm and 8mm. Accompanied with different copper components and chain. Sometimes I get hypnotized by chrysocolla - it has so many patterns variations, some even resemble malachite (and it could have some malachite in it because both those stones form in the oxidation zones of copper). And that reminds me that I do have some malachite beads I havent yet used :D

Black&White

Tuli tahtmine joonistada. Alguse sai pildike juba mõni aeg tagasi, kui nett oli aeglane ja tahtsin aega parajaks teha. Vahetevahel täiendan seda nii, et see valmis pole.

I wanted to draw. I started with this little picture some time ago, when the net was slow and I wanted to do something while I was waiting. It's in the progress, definately not finishe yet.

Sweet earrings for Sweet Dreams

Eelmises postituses esitletud kaelakee juurde paluti kõrvarõngaid. Mõtlesin teha ühtmoodi, aga välja kukkus teistmoodi :) Värvitud mageveepärlite all on pusas 2mm suurused vasest ja roosakvartsist helmed ning peenikene ketike, mis vallatult järgib kandja igat liigutust. Kõrvarõngaste pikkus on 3cm (ilma konksudeta). Kõrvarõngad on müüdud.

A pair of earrings were asked to accompany the necklace from the last post. I had an idea but it turned out quite different :) Under the dyed freshwater pearls there are tiny 2mm copper and pink quartz beads wrapped together and a fine chain that dangles along every movement of the wearer. These earrings are 3cm long (excluding hooks). Earrings are sold.

Sweet Dreams

Mõnikord on hea pugeda kõige eest peitu, sukelduda oma kujutlusmaailma ning teha täielik shut down. Rutiin ja mured kipuvad muidu lämmatama...

Seekord ma teesklesin ja kujutasin ette, et maailm on üks ilus koht. Liiga imal värk? :)
Värvitud mageveepärlid, mitte-nii-roosa roosa kvarts, kristall ning vask. Tahtsin, et ripats oleks rohkem ebamäärane, aga tuli hoopis ümmargune... No olgu siis ümmargune, kui tahab. Raamisin mustriliste vaskhelmeste ning tillukeste roosakvartsist helmestega. Kee on müüdud.

Sometimes it feels necessary to hide from everything, lock myself in my world of imagination and shut down completely. Because otherwise routine and worries could get me...

This time I pretended and imagined that world is a beautiful place. Too sweet? :)
Dyed freshwater pearls, not so pink pink quartz, chrystal and copper. I didn't want to make this pendant round but it came out like this... I let this be. I framed it with copper beads and tiny pink quartz. This necklace is sold.
