I was wondering... what type of jewellery people love? Many love earrings, some like brooches. And then there are those who don't like brooches at all. Some wear only necklaces.

I discovered that I have made mostly earrings. And the holder of second place is brooches! Many use brooches as a pendant to beaded necklace chain. Have you tried it? SAPPHIRE BLUE NECKLACE with BAROQUE PEARLS

I'm still thinking about this feminine and sweet necklace! Baroque pearls, vintage rhinestones and sapphire blue color.

Vintage style sapphire blue necklace with glass baroque pearls. Centerpiece has textured glass bead, Austrian (Swarovski) crystals, glass rhinestones, vintage glass seed pearls and metal filigree plates in layered look. This necklace is designed to sit just around the neck close to collarbone. Attaching clasp to different oval loops enables to adjust the length of the necklace. MULTICOLOR EARRINGS in Vintage Style

Whant to know what I made out of the materials I showed you previously? These multicolor rhinestone earrings in vintage style combine an array of vintage and new materials. Vintage deep purple glass drops from Japan, green "English cut" beads and vintage yellow moonstone glass leaves from Czechoslovakia, new crystal glass rhinestones in pink and blue from Austria (Swarovski), vintage glass pearls from France and antique cut steel micro beads. All stitched together to new filigree plates with wire.

These Multicolor earrings in vintage style are available in mdmButiik.com jewellery shop. Earrings have Sterling silver leverback hooks. Size in 3,5cm (1 1/2 inches) long, with sterling silver hooks they measure 5cm (2 inches) long.

Today is the birthday of mdmButiik! It was 14 years ago and believe me when I say that means a lot (really lot) of jewellery. Pretty pearls, sparkling rhinestones, a variety of colorful and shiny glass beads, delicately patterned filigree all assembled together with wire. It's all in the details!

Sharing some photos of work in progress. Planning a pair of Sparkly Rhinestone Earrings with Bermuda Blue (Cz) color. Super pretty color that shifts from dark blue with a hint of purple to bright light (lagoon) blue. 

Twinkle twinkle in Garnet Red

Can't get enough of garnet red! Dark red star earrings with rhinestones in have round center stone with checkerboard faceting. The center stone is surrounded by tiny sparkly Swar. rhinestones. These small crystals are in "Garnet" color and placed in a way to create a star shaped frame!

Green and Pearl Rhinestone Necklace

Green and pearl combines a classic style! This Green and Pearl Rhinestone Necklace has an ornamental cross. Featuring a super sparkly crystal glass stone in classical cushion cut in the centerpiece. Ornamental motifs separated by the sleek vintage glass stones and glass pearls.

Beaded Necklace in Blue Pink and Yellow

 This beaded necklace in blue pink yellow has ornate centerpiece and three rows of beads.

Romantic and feminine - this beaded necklace has pearls, rhinestones and tiny metal flowers! Combining blue with pink and yellow we find timeless baroque pearl in the center plate. Vintage Austrian (Swar.) crystal sparkle in the light! Old blue beads were made in Czechoslovakia.

Garnet Red Jewelry

Beautiful color of garnet red! This dark red rhinestone brooch is inspired by antique garnet jewellery. It is covered with tiny sparkly rhinestones (Swar. crystals in "Garnet" color) and in the shape of a flower. In the center is a vintage glass stone that has checkerboard faceting!

Pink and Purple Colored Brooches

 Here's a selection of brooches in pink and purple color. Purple rhinestone brooch with rectangle center stone is one of a kind. It features an old rectangle glass cabochon that was once cast aside because it has a small nibble on the surface. Made in moonstone glass its stripes seem 3D and in beautiful purple color. It in bottom left in this photo.

In the center of this photo you see a small rhinestone brooch from limited line. Available in different colors featuring old specialty glass drops and an array of sparkly Swarovski crystals. Pink pearl rhinestone brooch on top left is covered with pearls and Austrian crystal rhinestones. All crystals are first set into settings and then added one by one on the wire to create this intricate design. Flashback to the year 2019 - Rhinestone brooch

This brooch here has a lovely combination of pale yellow and fierce pink! In the center a smooth top cabochon tha is framed by sparkly faceted round crystals and glass pearls.

Styling Vintage Style Necklace

Styling vintage style necklace with casual. This beaded necklace in blue, pink and yellow is from mdmButiik. Materials of Blue Pink and Yellow Necklace are: vintage glass baroque pearls with glossy finish; pink Prosser beads from Czechoslovakia; new metal flowers with glass pearls and Swarovski light sapphire rhinestone; vintage Swarovski crystal in Topaz; new metal flower with old Prosser bead from France and clear rhinestones; floral motif from new and old materials; vintage light blue crystal; vintage baroque pearl drop from glass; new rhinestone rondelles; vintage blue Prosser beads fromCzechoslovakia.

Emerald Princess Rhinestone Bracelet

Green square shaped rhinestones from Czechoslovakia. These old and not so crisp anymore glass stones brought me back to emerald green. Small in size but lot to offer!

Here you see historically inspired bracelet covered with sparkly crystals in emerald green and clear color. I named it Emerald Princess Rhinestone Bracelet after a bracelet I previously made with kite shaped stones. It features vintage square-shaped (lighter shade) emerald green rhinestones from Czechoslovakia with clear rhinestones and new and old glass pearls in various sizes, tiny glass seedbeads and antique cut steel beads. Bracelet consists from 6 plates and measures 16,5cm (6 1/2 inches) shortest to 20cm (7 3/4 inches) longest (using the extender chain)

Dark Red Pendant on Ribbon

Today we'll look more closely at one of the special pieces from mdmButiik shop. It's not very common to add ribbons in jewelry for me... This one is a pendant that comes with a ribbon but can be separated and worn with a chain or attach with a pin on a piece of clothing. This dark red pendant on ribbon has two parts both covered in sparkly rhinestones! 

I'm thinking it can be attached to a hairdo as well with a hair pin - imagine it sparkle! Dark red pendant can be worn around the neck like a collar to get that historical look but also on a long chain as well. This pendant has a contemporary ribbon in length that allows to wear it around the neck. We used vintage and new glass and crystal rhinestones in garnet red color.  Glass beads are vintage from Czechoslovakia!

Work in Progress

Here are some photos of the work progress with dark red jewelry components. Usually the process starts with choosing the colors and materials and then moves on to trying out different motifs and how they work together. Here are the main motifs that will be combined into jewelry.
